The Armoured Polar Bears of Svalbard

The Armoured Polar Bears of Svalbard are the descendants of the Polar Bears once common on Earth, but as humans continued to exacerbate the climate crisis, Polar Bears built a great spacecraft and left humanity behind, taking to space even before any of us had managed space colonization. Since then, they had an understandable distrust for humans, but Stellar Firma's monopoly on terraforming kept them coming back, although each subsequent planet they've received from Stellar Firma has had some sort of fatal flaw causing it to become deadly rather rapidly. When Lorek Brynison, their King, purchased a planet that unbeknownst to them had been created with a great many heaters disguised as accountants, that became the last straw at which the Armoured Polar Bears joined ranks with the Megatron series, against humanity.
